Listen Up: Your Trade Show Booth is Boring

You’ve set up your trade show booth and are patiently waiting for clients to stop in, but sadly you watch as they just keep on walking by. If this sounds like any of your trade show experiences you may not be utilizing the full potential of your booth.

The first question you should be asking when it comes to planning: how do I stand out and bring both the curious passerby and the loyal clients to my booth? Think of what would draw you in, take a look around at what your major competitors are doing, and ultimately decide what you want your booth to express. There a ton of tips and “Trade Show 101” articles out there, but here are three of the best starting points on how to attract clients and keep them at your booth.

Create a Dynamic Display

Being a little flashy and conspicuous never hurt anybody (or brand). Creating an exciting trade show booth may sound easy, but it needs to be done while still maintaining your brand identity. Use your company mission or story to create a space that reflects it, ultimately let people know what you do without having to read a pamphlet or sign. Your dynamic booth can also be used for mobile marketing tours after the trade show, bringing your products directly to more clients.

Get Clients Involved: Experiential Marketing

Experiential marketing is a hot trend that leaves a lasting impression. Instead of just handing out your sales collateral and explaining what your brand and product is all about, step back and allow clients to learn through an interactive, hands-on experience. Experiential marketing allows for more engagement and client knowledge of your company, while giving them an experience they won’t forget.

Get the Conversation Flowing

So you’ve drawn in the clients, now what? Having convenient and comfortable conversation areas is one of the best ways to keep them at your booth. This allows for you to discuss follow-up options, answer questions, and overall interact with clients more efficiently.

Keeping these three tips in mind when planning your next trade show booth means a more exciting experience for your clients, and most importantly more sales for you!
