Reopening Strategies for Event Success and Safety

With the economy reopening we are starting to see an uptick in events and tour reactivation. But we now are operating in this new normal and there are a variety of factors to consider when planning or relaunching your mobile tour campaign. Here are some strategies and tips for creating the most successful and safe events in this new norm.

Flexibility is Key: You don’t want to cram your schedule, so it’s vital to create more time for contingency than usual for easy rerouting. For example, if your next stop is in a hotspot, this extra flexibility in your schedule will allow you to pivot to another site spot quickly without losing any time. This will also allow you to work around hotspot locations more effectively when planning.

Smaller Events, More Engagement: With social distancing policies still in place, you’ll want to cut down the number of visitors to aid in safety and sanitation. One way to incorporate this would be to host smaller events with fewer people for a shorter amount of time. For example, instead of having an event with 20 people for four hours, you will want to do events with ten people for two hours. This allows you to meet with more people during each stop, allowing for more engagement with customers. Also, you will want to stay longer in each market to aid in the above process, but to also alleviate road time allowing you more time in front of customers.

Sanitization Protocols, Signage and More: At each stop you’ll want to make sure to adhere to stricter cleaning routines. Clean common areas and pay special attention to high-traffic areas and touchpoints. Make sure to include proper signage that promotes visitors to use hand sanitizer stations, wash their hands regularly, wear a mask, maintain social distancing etc. Make sure to include hand sanitizer stations throughout your vehicle, including at the entrance and exits. Not only will these strict protocols aid in keeping your mobile vehicle sanitary, it can also ease visitor fears and shows you are on top of your sanitation standards.
