Strategic Host Partners: Boost Reach and Visitorship

When mapping your mobile tour schedule, you’ll want to choose your event locations carefully. It’s important to make certain you’re not only stopping in key markets, but also that you’ll be able to leverage any related organizations in the area. Like-minded associations with the same or similar cause can be one of the best tools to help you promote your mission before and after your event.

After locations have been identified, the next step would be to identify affinity groups.  For example, if the purpose of your tour is to raise awareness for diabetes, forming a partnership with local chapters of diabetes associations would be a beneficial way to promote your cause and increase attendance.  The hope is that you’ll take advantage of prebuilt and qualified email databases and media lists. Additionally, social media pages can be utilized to cross-promote and create a conversation that more followers can join.

You should also consider inviting these similar organizations to volunteer at your events. Their presence will bring added value and more attendees from their clients or members. Making them a part of the event means you can engage with them and strengthen your partnership. And if you can provide them branded collateral, they’ll be able to promote your cause post-event, even when you’re no longer in the area.
