On the Road: Nebraska 150 Truckin' Through Nebraska

In honor of Nebraska’s 150th anniversary of statehood, the Nebraska 150 Celebration partnered with MRA to create Truckin’ Through Nebraska: A Mobile Children’s Museum. The mobile exhibit visited 42 communities across the state over the course of 26 weeks in 2017. The stops were specifically chosen to bring the Mobile Children's Museum within an hour or two-hour drive for every family in the state and to bring a fun, educational experience to children who may not normally have access to a children's museum.
Housed in a 53’ double expandable trailer, the mobile museum provided children between the ages of 5-12 a unique, hands-on learning experience. Through play, interactivity, and the latest technology, children were able to explore their heritage and envision their futures. Interactives included kiosks, touch tables, various state facts, a chore challenge to learn more about the agricultural side of Nebraska, and more.
